New Death Case Confirmed in Vietnam
  A new case of human infection of H5N1 avian influenza was confirmed by The Health Ministry's Preventive Medicine Department of Vietnam and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. The Ministry worried that the virus would spread further.

The 23 -year old female teacher from Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province, northern Vietnam developed symptoms on 14 February and sent to National Tropical Disease Hospital on 19 February. Then she died on 25 February. Test results showed that she was infected with the H5N1 avian influenza virus.

Phu Tho's Preventive Medicine Bureau is still unclear how the woman got infected because the few hundred dead chicken in the school nearby are tested negative for the H5N1 virus.

Including this case, there were 105 confirmed cases of H5N1 infection in human, of which 51 were fatal.
